I had such an amazing time with Kelly and Martin on their wedding day! Kelly was the last in a line of multiple siblings that I have shot for, and it is always an honor to shoot for a special family whom I love dearly. She made such a gorgeous bride, and I loved being able to be part of her special day. And then there's her dashing groom! Sigh... the two of them were a dream to shoot. I loved their wedding day for so many reasons and am really excited to share it with you. We got ready quickly at Kelly's sister's house (who also played the role of maid of honor, wedding planner, AND baked the groom's cake - VIP), and then on to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Sterling, VA. It's rare that I come across churches as well lit as this one. My fellow photogs know what that happy dance looks like. ;)
My husband, who often second shoots for me, caught this gem of a moment right before they opened the doors of the church to let the guests find their seats. It was clear throughout the day that Martin and his mother have a beautiful bond.
Prepare yourselves ladies...it's a crying groom. Get's me every single time. Just look at them looking at each other. *swoon*This bridal party was THE BEST.And now for my favorite part of the day... Now on to their reception at the 1757 Golf Club! One of my favorite things about this wedding is the use of lighting at the reception. The lighting was provided by Stage Right Lighting, who Martin works for. So naturally, he was all set to wow us. And, boy did he! I had so much fun playing with the beautiful lighting, along with the great space 1757 Golf Club provided us.As I mentioned before, this awesome groom's cake was made by the maid of honor with Event's by Nina.Kelly and Martin's first dance actually gave me goose bumps. For a split second there... I almost forgot what I was supposed to be doing...almost. ;)Thanks, Kelly and Martin, for including me in your incredible day!! I can't wait to see what's ahead for you two. :)
