I may be a little biased, but, my friend (and assistant who edited this very post) got married... and she was the prettiest of all the brides. Many of you learned of Pete and Madison's pretty epic (and long) love story in their engagement post. (Click here to view that post) Well I can't say enough how happy I am for Pete and Madison! Their Loch Nairn wedding day was fabulous, and I'm excited to share some of the images with you today! I've said this before, and I'll say it again, the old rule about never working for friends does not apply in this business. Not only was I super close with the bride (I’ve known her since she was 15 and now she helps me with my business), but I knew and loved every bridesmaid as well. Add to that the fact that my husband grew up with the groom and his groomsmen, this wedding day was a breeze. Everyone was so comfortable with us that it never once felt like just another job to me. I loved every moment of this wedding... except for the part that I cried.
But, of course, they were happy tears!
I started the day with the girls getting ready. I love these girls, so it was a blast. Hanging the dress required a few random (and tall) hotel guests. I've never seen a prettier bridal party in my life... Not to mention the hot moms!!Uhm, hello pink polka-dot wall. You are now my best friend.
Meanwhile, in the room next door...
Pete and Madison chose to do a "first reveal" to allow for more time for bride and groom portraits. I always love this time. When my clients buck tradition and choose to see each other before the ceremony, I always give them a LOT of time for portraits. We spent about an hour walking around, just the four of us, getting these shots. It's always a nice, quiet, time in the midst of the crazy that is a typical wedding day. ;)
That's my husband...always prepared.
The ceremony was so sweet. There were so many great moments that I will never forget. Pastor Wayne's stories, their written vows, Pete getting choked up at the start of those vows (I mean really, how's a girl expected to hold it together when that happens?), Jen and Kim's song (the time I seriously started crying), and the most wonderful time of prayer with the fathers...just to name a few. The setting was gorgeous and this ceremony could not have been sweeter.
And now for the prettiest party ever...
The funniest speech ever...
Madison, I love you and I'm so proud of the choices you've made in your life. Pete is so right for you, and you for him. You are an exceptional girl and I'm lucky to have you in my life. Pete, you're one lucky man. Don't you ever forget that! Haha! Take care of your precious gift, and she'll do the same for you. Thanks for letting me into your lives. :)

K.Young - Absolutely exquisite. Every single one. Job very well done! Weddings are hard (and stressful) to shoot but it helps a thousand percent when you love who you're shooting!
