Congratulations to Sarah and Marcus!! I had such a great time with these two in their wedding day. They decided to see each other before the ceremony, so we had plenty of stress free time together to run around Brandywine Park for portraits! I LOVE when my clients decide to do portraits ahead of time. They end up with more images because we are able to build more time into the schedule. Have I mentioned that I LOVE when this happens! ;) At any rate, I was in heaven working with this gorgeous bride and her adorably sweet groom. As soon as I arrived, Sarah was glowing and just so breathtaking in a classic way that it became immediately clear to me that this day was going to be very classic, but with contemporary undertones with all the bright colors Sarah splashed throughout the details. Enjoy some of the highlights from Sarah and Marcus's wedding day!Let's all take a moment to admire how beautiful this bride is! I simply can't handle those eyes! From the very first meeting that I had with Sarah and Marcus, they mentioned this stairwell in their hotel. I was happy to hear that there was at least one spot indoors that sounded pretty since their wedding day was in the winter when the weather is so unpredictable. I decided to stay on the top of the stairs to make things a little more interesting than your typical portrait on a staircase. I'm really happy that I was able to get them these images that they had dreamed about from the very beginning. And, on top of everything, the weather was perfect! So we were able to get a lot of stuff outside as well.
I LOVED how laid back Sarah was about her images. The girls were gifted these gorgeous wraps the evening before at the rehearsal dinner, and they all looked amazing wearing them out. When I asked her if she wanted them to wear them in the pictures, her response was something like "I guess?" lol! So we decided to leave them on and I let the girls hold their flowers however was most comfortable so that we could get more casual and lighthearted images like the one you see here. There were a lot of things I loved about Sarah and Marcus's day. One of the things I loved was the tradition attached to it. Their ketubah ceremony, and wedding ceremony were drenched in age old traditions that I felt honored to capture. And their Rabbi was HILARIOUS! Working with him was pure joy. There's always been a place in my heart for such rich traditions, so I always enjoy capturing those traditions for the ones that cherish them.
And the traditions continued at the reception! These families know how to party! I had a blast shooting the dancing and all of the shared joy for these two. They so clearly love each other, and I'm so honored to have been able to be with them on their most special day. Thank you Sarah and Marcus, for sharing your day with me!
